RULES FOR ICS AFFILIATION
THE IRISH COB SOCIETY (ICS) - THE OGANIZATION APPROVED TO MAINTAIN THE STUD
BOOK OF THE ORIGIN OF THE BREED FOR THE IRISH COB - HAS IN ACCORDANCE WITH COMMISSION DECISION
92/354/EEC, HAS LAID DOWNS RULES TO GOVERN THE RELATIONS
BETWEEN THE ICS AND OTHER APPROVED IRISH COB STUD BOOK KEEPING
ORGANIZATIONS. THOSE RULES ARE ENSHRINED IN THESE
RULES FOR ICS AFFILIATION.
ICS AIMS REGARDING ICS AFFILIATION OF ORGANIZATIONS
The Irish Cob Society (ICS) aims relating to ICS affiliation of organizations are:-
1. To establish an international co-operation
(relationship) between the ICS and organizations in other
countries concerned with the breeding of Irish Cobs.
2. To establish

INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION
(ICSIA)
as
an association between the Irish Cob Society (ICS) and it's
affiliated organizations
for the pupose of
establsihing synchronization
between
all approved Irish Cob and Irish Cob Part Bred Stud Books
and
standardization
of an
International Irish Cob breeding programme, including -
inspection
and judging of
Irish Cob
and Irish Cob Part Breds
training of
inspectors
and judges
etc..
THE ICS LTD ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
- Only representatives of the ICS and representatives of the
ICS affiliated organizations are entitled to attend and
vote at the ICS Annual International Conference.
- The ICS reserves the right to invite to the ICS
Annual
International Conference, representatives from any
Member State Authority or organization, as may be seen
appropriate, desirable, or necessary.
ORGANIZATIONS WHICH ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR ICS
AFFILIATION
Organizations which are approved to maintain Irish Cob
Stud Books and organizations which are not approved to
maintain Irish Cob stud books, are eligible to apply for
ICS affiliation.
NOTE: ICS affiliated
organizations in Member States where there is already an
organization approved to maintain an Irish Cob Stud Book
may not seek approval to maintain a second Irish Cob
Stud Book in those Member States, but shall remain as
ICS representative organizations in those Members
States.
RIGHTS OF ICS AFFILIATED ORGANIZATIONS
ICS affiliation will not interfere with the operational
procedures of approved Irish Cob stud book keeping
organizations.
ICS affiliated organizations may co-operate and work
with other ICS affiliated organizations.
ICS
affiliated organizations may co-operate and work
with other breed organizations where it can be shown to
be of benefit to the breeding of Irish Cobs.
CONDITIONS FOR ICS AFFILIATION
1. ICS Affiliated organizations cannot be based in
Ireland.
2. ICS Affiliated organizations must be concerned with
the breeding of Irish Cobs.
3. Approved ICS Affiliated organizations must ensure that the
ICS Principles are adhered to.
