    AUTUMN SEMINAR

DETAILS, DATE & VENUE WILL BE PUBLISHED HERE BEFORE END OF APRIL

The ICS Ltd will be holding a seminar for Irish Cob & Irish Cob Part Bred breeders, exhibitors & enthusiasts in Ireland this coming Autumn.  The seminar will deal with the breed standards, breeding & showing etc.  The seminar will provide a valuable opportunity for anyone interested in Irish Cobs (and Irish Cob Part Breds) to meet up and to become more involved with thier breed etc.  The seminar will offer breeders, exhibitors & enthusiasts (at home and abroad) the opportunity to form ICS Stud Book Committees.

The purpose of ICS Ltd Stud Book Committees is to arrange for shows and events etc to be held for Irish Cobs

and Irish Cob Part Breds in Ireland and elsewhere.

ICS OBJECTIVE

In 1998 the Irish Cob Society was approved to maintain the Stud Book of the Origin
of the Breed Irish Cobs.  The ICS does not take credit for establishing the Irish Cob
as a distinctive breed,  but aims to preserve and protect the breed, in it's traditional form and type as originally bred and established over many generations in Ireland,
by the Travelling community,  who did not keep written records of breeding (a stud book), but who passed the breeding pedigrees and lineages on "verbally" from generation to generation.
